STOLEN SIGNAGE FROM THE BEACON

3rd of March, 2025

Three signs reading "Dogs must be kept on leads on the Upper Beacon" have been stolen from the southern entrances of The Beacon. They had only been up for around a week. Sadly, since the replacement of these signs will come from Council tax, the cost of their replacement will inevitably be borne by every village resident. The matter has been reported to Dyfed Powys Police, and a crime reference number obtained. If anyone has any information on this matter, please let the community council know. If the perpetrator(s) wish to return the stolen property, and thus save their innocent neighbours unnecessary expense, that would of course be welcomed. It would also demonstrate respect for the democratic will of the village population, since well over 80% of the village respondents in the survey carried out last year supported the introduction of these controls at The Beacon.
